The Ministry of Environment announced that the budget of 120 million lei allocated for the purchase of electric cars through the Rabla Auto Program 2026 was completely exhausted in just 10 days from its launch on July 30.

During this period, 6,724 applications were submitted, totaling 120.017 million lei. Although the funds for electric vehicles are exhausted, registrations for vehicles with internal combustion engines and hybrids continue. So far, nearly 19,000 applications have been submitted under the program, including all three components.

The Ministry mentioned that there is a possibility that, in case some beneficiaries give up their reserved vouchers or through budget adjustments, funds for electric cars may become available again. Additionally, the budget for motorcycles was exhausted in nine minutes from the opening of the session. Individuals can benefit from various eco-vouchers depending on the type of vehicle purchased.
