AFM approves over 1,400 eco-vouchers for Rabla Auto 2026, worth 16.3 million lei

The Environmental Fund Administration (AFM) approved on Monday, October 19, 2026, 1,419 green vouchers for individuals enrolled in the 2026 Rabla Auto Program. The total value of the funding amounts to 16,297,000 lei.

After the list of beneficiaries is published, approved applicants will have 60 days to complete all the necessary formalities. During this period, they must scrap and deregister the used vehicle, upload the supporting documents to the online application, and enter the deregistration date.

AFM states that, after the list is published, the applicant’s status in the application will be updated to “beneficiary approved for funding.” The list of approved applications can be viewed on the institution’s website, in the section dedicated to the Rabla Auto Program for individuals.

AFM President Florin Bănică says the program aims to renew the vehicle fleet and support the purchase of less polluting vehicles. The new funding was approved during the meeting of the Approval Committee on October 19.

Context: AFM resumed and supplemented Rabla Auto 2026 after funds were exhausted and initial rounds with eco-vouchers

The Rabla Auto 2026 Program was launched on 20 July 2026, and demand was rapid, particularly for electric vehicles. The budget of 120 million lei for electric passenger cars was exhausted within 10 days of the launch, after 6,724 applications had been submitted, while registrations for vehicles with internal combustion engines and hybrids continued.

In parallel, AFM subsequently approved additional eco-vouchers: for example, a list of 3,661 eco-vouchers worth 48.097 million lei for individuals. For those who missed the initial stage, the administration then announced the redistribution of 93,737,000 lei from unused funds, with new online registration sessions (including a resumption scheduled for 25 August 2026), depending on the type of vehicle.
