The Romanian government will discuss on Thursday the extension of the implementation deadline for the INVESTALIM program, a necessary measure due to the complexity and long duration of the projects. The draft decision stipulates that the financed investments should contribute to regional development until the end of 2031. Currently, 20 funding agreements are approved, and by the end of the year, another five beneficiaries will submit payment requests. Additionally, the government will approve budgets for various institutions and will reapprove the technical-economic indicators for infrastructure projects, such as the Gura Humorului bypass. Expropriation procedures will be initiated for the works on the Târgu Mureș-Târgu Neamț Highway, and the Regulation on the investigation of railway accidents will be amended. There will also be discussions on accepting the ELIXIR consortium Agreement for the European infrastructure of life sciences.
