The Romanian government adopted a Memorandum on Friday, authorizing the Ministry of Investments and European Projects to conclude new contracts for projects under Investment 4 - Component 16, RePowerEU, in the context of renegotiating the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). It is necessary to replace 23 projects for which funding contracts have not been signed. The total value of the replaced projects is 1.413 billion lei, while the value of the new ones is 1.297 billion lei, without exceeding the established financial allocation.
Investment 4 targets grants for the use of renewable energy by households, including vulnerable ones. The funding will be 50% loan and 50% grant, and the deadline for achieving the target of 122,000 vouchers has been extended until the second quarter of 2026.
