The United Kingdom is facing an early and severe wave of "super flu," which has put significant pressure on the healthcare system, with hospitals declaring critical incidents. Medical authorities recommend wearing masks and vaccination, as the epidemic spreads to other European countries, such as France and Spain. The flu strain A(H3N2), referred to as "subclade K" or "super-flu," is causing an alarming increase in cases. NHS directors emphasize the importance of wearing masks in public transport and workplaces to reduce the transmission of the virus. In the UK, the government has warned schools to avoid closures, but some educational institutions have gone into quarantine due to the high number of illnesses.

Experts warn that the current flu season could be the worst in history, and the medical community is calling for collective responsibility to support the NHS. Vaccination remains the best protection, with nearly 17 million doses administered so far. A school in Caerphilly has been severely affected, with over 250 cases, leading to temporary closure and the conducting of online classes.
