Iulian Lorincz, USR deputy, stated on Antena 3 CNN that USR will not leave the governing Coalition, even if PSD tries to do so. He emphasized that PSD cannot remove them from government and that he does not believe that PNL, UDMR, or President Nicușor Dan would want a government without USR.
Lorincz mentioned that, despite speculations, PSD must first gather a majority, which he believes will not happen. He also commented on the referendum initiated by Sorin Grindeanu in PSD, which concerns the future of Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan and the partnership with USR.
Dominic Fritz, the president of USR, reacted, emphasizing that the party will adhere to the signed protocol and that it will not accept PSD becoming dominant in government. Fritz added that PSD must understand that it will not be able to decide everything on its own in the future.
