Poland has decided to close the last Russian consulate in Gdansk in response to the railway sabotage over the weekend, during which two Ukrainian citizens, suspected of collaborating with Russian intelligence services, were identified as responsible. Polish Foreign Minister Radek Sikorski stated that this measure is a consequence of Russia's hostile actions and warned that the Russian diplomatic presence will be further reduced if such actions persist. The explosion on the Warsaw-Lublin railway line, which connects Poland to Ukraine, was an unprecedented incident since World War II, prompting an emergency meeting of the National Security Committee. The incident joins a series of attacks and sabotage in Poland, a country that has become an important target for Moscow due to its support for Ukraine. Russia has denied any involvement in these acts.
