The former Hungarian Prime Minister delivered a speech at the Summer University in Baile Tusnad, stating that the European Union, as we know it, will no longer exist in 25 years. Viktor Orbán attacked the government led by Péter Magyar, accusing it of authoritarianism and comparing it to leftist regimes in South America. The former Prime Minister explained that he would not hold a mandate in the Hungarian Parliament, preferring to build a national resistance movement.
He also criticized the direction of the new government's foreign policy and rejected the introduction of the euro, considering it a measure imposed by banks. Orbán emphasized the need to reinvent Fidesz as a party and mentioned examples from other countries where guilty politicians returned to power. In the opening of the speech, László Tőkés addressed the issue of the autonomy of the Hungarian community in Romania, highlighting the importance of strengthening its institutions.
