Fidesz, the party of Viktor Orbán, is facing a changed political reality after the defeat suffered in the elections in Hungary, where the Tisza party won, ending Orbán's 16-year reign. Fidesz has dropped below 20% in polls, while Tisza is approaching 70%.

In this context, the leadership of Fidesz is discussing options such as a profound reorganization of the party, continuing without Orbán, or even dissolving it to create a new conservative party. Although Orbán was re-elected as president of Fidesz, internal tensions persist, and the withdrawals of some key figures from the party amplify the crisis.

The spokesperson for Fidesz publicly rejects the idea of dissolution, but analysts emphasize that the discussion about it reflects the seriousness of the situation. Orbán's political future will be decided in 2027, and Fidesz must decide whether it will reform under his leadership or seek a new direction.
