An Italian man asked to be arrested because he threatened to kill his ex-wife, who was already a victim of his harassment.

A man from Italy requested his own arrest, claiming that if his ex-wife had been home, he would have killed her. The police took this threat seriously and contacted the woman, who stated that she had been harassed by her ex-husband for months, receiving constant threats, including online.

The two separated in the spring, and the man continued to threaten her, including through messages directed at their children, a 19-year-old and a minor child with severe motor disabilities. The Carabinieri arrested the man on the spot, thus preventing a possible tragedy.
