The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) issued a serious warning on Monday regarding military activity near the Bushehr nuclear power plant in Iran, emphasizing that it could lead to a severe radiological accident, with devastating effects not only in Iran but also in neighboring regions. On Sunday, a projectile hit an area near the plant, marking the fourth time the site has been attacked since the conflict began, according to the Iranian press agency Tasnim. IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi stated that military activities around the plant, which operates with significant amounts of nuclear fuel, pose a serious threat. The IAEA confirmed, based on independent analysis, that strikes occurred near the plant, including one just 75 meters from its perimeter, although the plant did not suffer damage. The agency emphasized the importance of protecting nuclear facilities in the context of armed conflicts.
