According to a survey conducted by the International Institute of Sociology in Kiev, 69% of Ukrainians would support a peace plan that would end the war, provided they are not required to recognize the territories occupied by Russia. 74% oppose a plan that would include withdrawal from Donbas and limiting the army without security guarantees. The survey, conducted on a sample of 1,000 people, was carried out in the context of American President Donald Trump's efforts to end the conflict. Although President Zelensky presented a revised framework for negotiations, only 10% of Ukrainians believe that the war will end by the end of the year. In the U.S., nearly half of Americans are dissatisfied with Trump's handling of the war, and another survey shows that 29% support increasing military aid to Ukraine. Ukraine's peace plan includes the creation of a 'free economic zone' in Donbas to stimulate American interests.
