Lifeguards discovered an object that could be a drone component on Saturday morning, around 8:00 a.m., on Steaua de Mare Beach in Eforie Nord. The piece, found near a gazebo, was reported to the relevant institutions for checks.
The object is dark-colored and has several visible markings, including Cyrillic letters. According to reports from the area, the waves may have brought it ashore, but this hypothesis has not been officially confirmed. Authorities are to determine whether the piece belongs to a drone, what type of device it is, and where it came from.
The fragment is expected to be collected and examined by specialists. The technical analysis will check the materials, markings, and the presence of any elements that could pose a danger before handling and transport. So far, no injuries, damage, or special restrictions on the beach have been reported.
The incident comes after several discoveries of objects associated with drones, reported on September 10 and 11 in Constanța and Tulcea counties, as well as offshore. Some of these contained explosive material and were neutralized by specialized teams. This context has prompted a careful examination of the piece found in Eforie Nord.
