A survey conducted by the International Institute of Sociology in Kiev (KIIS) shows that 67% of Ukrainians believe that President Volodymyr Zelensky should be replaced after the end of the war with Russia, a significant increase compared to 2023, when only 23% held this opinion. This trend reflects a broader desire for change among the population, not only at the presidential level but also in other branches of government. Almost 88% of respondents support the need for a reorganization of the central government, and 83% want parliamentary reform. Although 61% of Ukrainians trust Zelensky, this support is moderate and conditional on the desire to see new leaders in key positions. KIIS director Anton Hrushetskyi emphasizes that, although the president enjoys support on national defense issues, there is an increased demand for the renewal of political elites.
