Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned on October 6 that Russia is preparing a large-scale attack on Ukraine and urged citizens to take air raid alerts seriously. The leader in Kyiv referred to recent information received by intelligence services, without specifying when the attacks were expected to take place.
Zelensky stated that emergency services and the air force are prepared to respond “to the extent that protective means allow.” He called on allies, particularly European countries and the United States, to transfer to Ukraine any systems available to protect the population.
The warning comes after another day of Russian attacks that left at least 13 people dead and 104 injured. A hospital in Kryvyi Rih was damaged. Meanwhile, a KIIS poll shows that approximately 62% of Ukrainians are prepared to continue resisting for as long as necessary.
