This week, the Bucharest Stock Exchange gained 4.37 billion lei in capitalization, but transactions with shares decreased by 265.3 million lei.

Between March 9 - 13, 2026, the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) recorded a capitalization increase of 4.37 billion lei, reaching 551.73 billion lei, an increase of 0.8% compared to the previous week. However, the value of transactions with shares significantly decreased, generating a turnover of 349.6 million lei, compared to 614.91 million lei in the previous week.

The most active trading day was Thursday, March 12, with a turnover of 109.23 million lei, while Friday was the weakest day, with only 39.96 million lei. The main index BET closed the week at 28,212.39 points. The shares of Banca Transilvania were the most liquid, with transactions of 81.35 million lei and an increase of 1.57%. Other notable stocks were OMV Petrom and Hidroelectrica, with increases of 1.98% and 6.96%, respectively. The largest increases were recorded by Energopetrol (19.63%) and Hidroelectrica, while Prefab had the largest decrease, of 14.29%.
