The Secretary of State in the Ministry of Transport, Ionel Scrioșteanu, announced that the structure meets all necessary standards. The tests involved eight trucks loaded with 40 tons each, and the results confirmed the safety of the bridge, which is 268 meters long and includes new road infrastructure. The new Border Crossing Point, adjacent to the bridge, will comply with Schengen standards and will have increased capacity, being vital for the over 32,000 ethnic Romanians in the area. The final reception is scheduled for December 20, 2025. Currently, the old wooden and metal bridge, built in 2000, will undergo repairs, needing a complete overhaul due to increased traffic. The investment value for repairs is 5,690,924 lei, and the works will last 18 months. The project is managed by the National Company for Road Infrastructure Administration (CNAIR).
