Catalina Ionescu, the manager of the 'Saint Mary' Children's Hospital, refuses to resign after six children died due to an infection with the bacteria Serratia marcescens.

The hospital manager, Cătălina Ionescu, stated that she will not resign, emphasizing that the unit acted correctly. The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, requested the resignation of the hospital management due to the lack of documents certifying the application of infection control protocols. He also announced the dismissal of the management of the Public Health Directorate of Iași and initiated an epidemiological investigation following the deaths of the children.
