The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) warns Romanian citizens about a scheduled national strike in Belgium between November 24 and 26, 2025, which will cause significant disruptions in transportation. In the field of air transport, Brussels-Zaventem airport will suspend all flights on November 26, and citizens are advised to check the schedule with airlines. The railway network will be interrupted starting from November 23 at 10:00 PM for 72 hours, affecting the entire SNCB network.
Public transport will operate at reduced capacity, and the MAE recommends following updated information on the transport operators' websites. Romanian citizens can request consular assistance at the numbers of the Romanian Embassy in Brussels.
