Maria Corina Machado, laureate of the Nobel Peace Prize 2025, cannot travel to Oslo to receive the award as she could be considered a "fugitive" by the Venezuelan authorities.

The Attorney General of Venezuela, Tarek William Saab, stated that María Corina Machado will be considered a "fugitive" if she leaves the country, as she is under criminal investigations for charges of conspiracy, incitement to hatred, and terrorism.

Machado accuses Nicolás Maduro's regime of electoral fraud in the 2024 elections. Despite the situation, she remains optimistic that Maduro will lose power, with or without negotiations.
