Employees of the Oltenia Energy Complex organized a spontaneous protest in front of the company's headquarters in Târgu Jiu, dissatisfied with the uncertainties regarding the closure of coal-fired power plants. The president of the Oltenia Mine Energy Union, Gabriel Căldărușe, emphasized that the protesters are waiting for a clear response from the Ministry of Energy. Romania is negotiating in Brussels for a postponement of the closure of coal-fired power plants, and employees fear losing their jobs. The protest will continue until official information about the future of CEO is received.
