Alexandru Rogobete stated that the ban on combining pension and salary will not affect the health system, which is based on contributory pensions.

In a press conference, the Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, clarified that the future legislation regarding the prohibition of the pension-salary accumulation will not affect the healthcare system. He emphasized that this prohibition will only apply to non-contributory pensions, while healthcare personnel will benefit from contributory pensions.

The government is working on a draft emergency ordinance that will significantly reduce the salary-pension accumulation for public sector employees who continue to work after retirement, limiting it to 15% of the pension. This measure aims to regulate the situation of public sector employees who choose to remain professionally active after retirement.
