The Minister of Labor, Florin Manole, announced that the project to prohibit the accumulation of pension with salary will also include teachers, as well as doctors. This measure targets all categories of pensions, regardless of their type, and will be applied within an ordinance that also regulates detachments in public institutions. Those who wish to continue working after retirement will only be able to receive 15% of their pension, the rest being suspended.
Manole emphasized the importance of caution in implementing these regulations, considering the significant social impact. He also mentioned that he does not support salary cuts for public employees and that his ministry has managed to reduce personnel costs without layoffs.
