The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) announces significant rainfall, snowfall, and a substantial cooling of the weather across the country until Sunday at 10:00 AM. A yellow code has been issued for certain areas, valid until Saturday. It is estimated that precipitation will locally accumulate between 10 and 15 l/m², while in the north of Oltenia, northwest of Muntenia, and the west of the Southern Carpathians, amounts will reach 20-30 l/m², with isolated areas exceeding 60 l/m².
Starting from Saturday evening, precipitation will take the form of sleet and snow in the Western Plain, northern Moldova, and eastern Transylvania, while in the mountains, snow will predominate, with snow deposits. The wind will have temporary intensifications, with gusts of 45-50 km/h in the southeastern regions and 70-90 km/h in the high areas of the Southern Carpathians. The weather will cool significantly starting Saturday in the west, north, and northeast, extending to the rest of the country on Sunday.
