Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan stated that the Government could receive a faster opinion from the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM) for the project regarding judges' pensions. The executive intends to initiate the procedure for assuming responsibility in Parliament next week, depending on the CSM's reaction speed. The project has been submitted for approval by the Ministry of Labor, and Bolojan mentioned that the convening of the General Assembly by the CSM suggests a quick opinion.
The agreed modifications include extending the transition period for raising the retirement age from 10 to 15 years, as well as capping pensions at 70% of the net salary. The Government aims for a swift adoption of the new rules to ensure a complete procedure for assuming responsibility.
