Apple is launching the iPhone 17e model to maintain its market share in the context of intense global competition in the smart mobile phone segment. This launch comes against the backdrop of rising memory chip prices, caused by a global shortage, which suggests that Apple is willing to absorb some of the component costs to make the model more attractive. Research firm Counterpoint Research has warned that global shipments of smart mobile phones could decline by 2.1% this year, and the increase in chip costs will affect demand. Apple offers greater storage capacity at the same price, which, according to analysts, represents an effective price reduction, considering that previously customers paid a premium for additional storage. Pre-orders for the iPhone 17e will begin on Wednesday, and sales will start on March 11, allowing customers from over 70 countries to access the new model.
