This aligns with the official target of 5% set by the Chinese government and reflects a positive revision for the entire East Asia and Pacific region. Although China's economy has benefited from government stimulus, the World Bank warns that the growth rate will slow down to 4.2% in 2026 due to declining exports and fiscal stimulus.
