The liberal-progressive, pro-European party, led by Rob Jetten, will form a government coalition with the conservative Christian Democrats and the right-wing VVD party, having together 66 seats in the lower house out of 150. Jetten, who will become the youngest prime minister of the Netherlands, stated that he is eager to start government work and emphasized the importance of collaboration with other parties.

The government's plans aim to address major issues, including security, affordable housing, and migration, as well as significant investments in defense. Although the coalition does not have a majority in the Senate, Jetten mentioned the need to collaborate with opposition parties to pass legislation. The new cabinet is expected to be officially invested by mid-February.
