Nicuşor Dan asked the parties to come on Friday with a solution to support a minority government.

President Nicușor Dan declared on Wednesday evening that he expects political parties to finalize negotiations and present by Friday the conditions under which they will support a minority government, without being part of it. The head of state specified that pro-Western formations must reach a common conclusion and expressed hope that they will treat the discussions seriously to allow for the rapid formation of a new executive. At the same time, the PSD announced its willingness to enter the government and proposed Sorin Grindeanu for the position of prime minister, while the PNL, USR, and UDMR are discussing an agreement to support a minority government formula.
