PSD President Sorin Grindeanu stated Thursday evening that the party does not want the formation of a PSD minority government, arguing that such a solution would place the party in a “vulnerable position.” The statement was made in an interview broadcast by Antena 3, amid negotiations concerning the formation of the future government.
“Yes, because that PSD minority government actually means positioning the PSD in a vulnerable area, in an area where... But let me make the opposite offer: the PSD will vote for a PNL-UDMR minority government. Come on! I am convinced they will not do that. That is why I was also telling you that all these tricks must be put aside if we want to find a future. Because I consider them to be political tricks during a difficult period,” Sorin Grindeanu said in an interview broadcast Thursday evening by Antena 3.
PNL President Ilie Bolojan stated Thursday, following consultations with designated Prime Minister Luca Niculescu, that the PNL does not intend to participate in this government, but is open to granting an installation vote to get past the crisis.
