The First Vice President of PNL, Dan Motreanu, announced that the party maintains its commitment not to collaborate with PSD in governance, following consultations with Nicușor Dan.
If PSD commits to implementing the necessary reforms, PNL could support a minority PSD government, but will remain in opposition.
Motreanu presented President Nicușor Dan with a solution to unblock the political crisis, proposing the investment of a minority government based on an Agreement for Romania, which would last until the end of the year. This agreement would involve commitments to reduce the budget deficit and assume responsibility for the reforms in PNRR.
PNL emphasizes that the signing parties will not submit motions of censure against the government until the end of the year. If PSD refuses to assume governance, PNL will form a minority government with USR and UDMR, aiming to fulfill the assumed commitments.
