PNL spokesperson and MP Ionel Bogdan stated on Friday that the liberals rule out any form of coalition with PSD, but are willing to vote for the government led by designated Prime Minister Luca Niculescu, after the presentation of the governing program and the list of ministers. He accused PSD of trying to prolong the interim government through proposals he described as “non-solutions” and argued that Romania needs a government with full powers to overcome the political crisis. The statements came after PSD leader Sorin Grindeanu announced that the Social Democrats would vote for the Niculescu Government if a majority PSD-PNL-UDMR coalition were restored.
