The Polish prosecutor's office announced the detention of Volodymyr B., a Ukrainian citizen suspected of having assisted in a sabotage attack on the railways, on November 20. He joins two other Ukrainians, Oleksandr K. and Evhenii I., who were previously accused of using explosives to damage a railway line on the night of November 15 to 16. The attack, considered a "precedent-setting act of sabotage," targeted a route used for delivering aid to Ukraine.
Volodymyr B. assisted the other two suspects, including helping them inspect the attack site. After the incident, Oleksandr K. and Evhenii I. fled to Belarus, and Polish authorities began searching for accomplices. Additionally, four previously detained Ukrainian citizens were released, and the Polish prime minister emphasized that the explosion could have targeted a train. Poland has raised concerns about the increase in sabotage and espionage activities, many of which are linked to Russian services.
