The Austrian energy group OMV intends to quadruple the number of electric vehicle charging stations in Central Europe, reaching approximately 5,000 stations by 2030. CEO Alfred Stern emphasizes that the transition to electric mobility will also stimulate the natural gas sector, given that the demand for electricity will require balancing the energy grid. OMV continues to invest in sustainability, including in green hydrogen and geothermal energy, despite reducing its capital expenditure estimates.
