OMV Petrom has completed an important project, supported by the European Union, aimed at expanding the electric vehicle charging network along a key corridor in Central Europe. The total value of the project was approximately 40 million euros, of which 12 million euros were grants provided by the EU through the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF).

The project includes the installation of 384 ultra-fast charging points in strategic locations such as Bratislava, Budapest, Oradea, Cluj-Napoca, and Constanta.

In Romania, there are 304 charging points in 74 locations, thus contributing to the EU's objectives of developing an interoperable alternative fuels infrastructure.

The project was implemented by a consortium led by OMV Petrom Marketing S.R.L., in partnership with OMV Hungary KFT and OMV Slovakia s.r.o., and was supported by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA).
