The Lithuanian Foreign Minister, Kęstutis Budrys, emphasized that threats from Russia, including the incident with a plane carrying the President of the European Commission, represent systematic hostile actions. Lithuania's ambassador to the EU, Nerijus Aleksiejūnas, mentioned that commercial vessels are avoiding the port of Klaipėda for safety reasons, and pilots are facing increased stress. In August, over 1,000 aircraft and 33 Lithuanian ships encountered problems due to these threats, and Lithuania is calling for a collective response from the European Union.
