On Wednesday, the Kremlin rejected the accusations of the President of Lithuania, Gitanas Nauseda, that Russia is planning attacks on critical infrastructure in Poland and the Baltic states. The Kremlin's spokesperson, Dmitri Peskov, stated that these accusations are part of a campaign to brainwash the population, aimed at presenting Russia as an enemy and justifying NATO's militarization in the region.

"This is simply the latest wave of alarmist stories meant to continue brainwashing the population and prepare it for even more pronounced militarization,” said Dmitri Peskov.

Nauseda mentioned that intelligence information suggests that Russia could launch provocations to test NATO's unity, but he could not provide precise details about the location or timing of these attacks. He emphasized that these signals indicate a possible preparation on Russia's part, but the planning process is not finalized. Reactions continue to highlight the tensions between Russia and the Baltic states, in the context of an increasingly fragile regional security.
