The Iranian armed forces announced on Sunday that they will not yield to the United States until they achieve a "complete defeat" of them. This statement was made 24 hours before the expiration of the 60-day deadline set in the memorandum of understanding signed between Tehran and Washington on June 17, which stipulated the cessation of military operations.
The General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces emphasized that they will not yield until the rights of the Iranian people are restored and the enemy capitulates. Additionally, the Iranian forces stated that, despite facing "the best-equipped army in the world," they have managed to bring American leaders to their knees. Since the resumption of hostilities on July 7, both sides have accused each other of violating the memorandum, complicating the prospects for a peaceful solution.
