France has implemented drastic measures against disruptive passengers, considering inappropriate behavior a threat to flight safety. The decree published on November 8 provides for fines of up to 10,000 euros for violating the rules, and in case of recidivism, fines can reach 20,000 euros.
Passengers who pose a major risk can be banned from boarding for up to four years. These sanctions apply to all flights operated by airlines licensed in France. The Minister of Transport, Philippe Tabarot, emphasized that passenger safety is a priority and that disruptive behavior will no longer be tolerated. France's measures align with a European trend of tightening sanctions, also exemplified by Ryanair's action against a passenger for disrupting a flight.
