Former K1 fighter Anatoli “Tolea” Ciumac was detained for 24 hours after a fight broke out outside a venue on Lipscani Street, in the capital’s Old Town. The incident came to the attention of police officers on September 12, 2026, after footage showing two men physically assaulting each other emerged in the public domain.
Police officers from the 27th Precinct initiated an investigation ex officio and began checks to identify the people involved and establish the circumstances of the altercation. According to the Bucharest Municipal Police Directorate, the two men allegedly initially assaulted each other, but the conflict reportedly escalated. One of them allegedly continued to repeatedly hit the other.
The two men were identified and taken to the precinct headquarters for questioning and the completion of legal procedures. The injured party stated that he did not wish to file a complaint.
Anatoli Ciumac was detained on suspicion of assault or other violence and disturbing public order and peace. He is due to be brought before magistrates, with the appropriate legal proposal. The investigation is continuing under the coordination of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Sector 3 District Court.
