Police officers in Țăndărei detained a young man accused of approaching his former partner, although she had a protection order

A young man from Tandarei was detained for 24 hours on September 12 after allegedly violating a protection order and approaching his former partner. The woman called 112 and reported that her former partner was at the gate of her home, even though he was prohibited from approaching her or her residence.

According to the Ialomita County Police Inspectorate, the Fetesti District Court issued a protection order against the man on September 4. He was required to keep at least 50 meters away from his former partner and her home and was prohibited from contacting her in any way.

Police officers from the Tandarei City Police intervened following the report received at around 2:00 p.m. Based on the evidence gathered, the authorities ordered the continuation of criminal proceedings for violating the protection order and ordered the suspect’s detention.

The man was taken to the inspectorate’s Detention and Preventive Arrest Center. The IPJ statement says he is 24 years old, while initial information indicated that he was 26.
