The President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, stated in an interview that Poland deserves to play a mediating role in the negotiations with Russia regarding the war in Ukraine, considering its frontline state position in the European Union. During a panel held in Turku, Stubb emphasized that he is not the right person to lead discussions with Vladimir Putin, despite recent speculations. His statements are supported by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who stated that Warsaw must be involved in the peace talks, emphasizing that agreements without Poland's participation will not be respected. Tusk highlighted the importance of Poland in discussions about the future of Ukraine and the region. Italy has also expressed dissatisfaction regarding its exclusion from the peace process, and Stubb believes that it should also be included in the European negotiations.
