Donald Tusk, in a press conference, stated that he is not aware of the results of the recent meeting between the foreign ministers of the two countries, but he has signals that the Ukrainian side is looking for ways to reduce tensions with Poland. He emphasized that the coming months could be crucial for the security of the countries on NATO's eastern flank, considering the changing nature of the war.

Tusk mentioned that Poland is intensively preparing for various scenarios. The latest tensions between Poland and Ukraine arose after the Polish president, Karol Nawrocki, withdrew the state distinction from Volodymyr Zelensky, following a dispute related to a Ukrainian military unit associated with insurgents considered responsible for the massacres of Poles during World War II.
