Klára Kolouchová, 46, died after a fall on the lower slopes of Nanga Parbat, the ninth highest mountain in the world. She is the first fatality of the summer climbing season in Pakistan. Nanga Parbat, known as the 'killer mountain', has been the scene of more than 30 climbing fatalities, with the first successful ascent in 1953. Local authorities have announced that recovery operations will begin once the body has been located.
