The regulation requires all shops to display prices in leva and euro by August 8, 2026, in the context of Bulgaria's accession to the euro area. Prices must be displayed identically on labels and promotional offers must be clearly distinguishable. Retailers have two months to adapt their schemes and unjustified price increases are banned until the end of 2025. Large firms must publish final prices on their websites, but have opposed the measures as restrictive.
