Air India Express has been sanctioned by the Indian authorities for failing to replace the engine components of an Airbus A320 in time, in violation of an EASA directive. The company acknowledged the error and implemented corrective measures. It was also investigated for falsifying maintenance records. This comes in the wake of a serious accident in June, and the DGCA had previously warned the company over other irregularities. EASA has launched an investigation and Air India faces criticism for operational and hygiene problems.
