A serious incident occurred last week on an Air India flight between Phuket and Delhi, when an Airbus A320neo suddenly lost altitude by about 90 meters, injuring 13 passengers and 4 crew members. The Ministry of Civil Aviation in India summoned the director general of Air India to discuss this incident.
Authorities have opened an investigation, and the aircraft, which was carrying 137 passengers and 8 crew members, landed safely in Delhi. Following the incident, the pilot was subjected to a confirmation test for psychoactive substances, after an initial test came back positive for marijuana. The ministry announced that it will continue investigations to clarify the circumstances of this incident and its impact on flight safety.
