Romania received the second largest allocation of European loans, amounting to 16.68 billion euros, through the SAFE program, aimed at strengthening defense capabilities. These funds are part of a European mechanism of 150 billion euros, which supports joint procurement and the development of the defense industry. Romanian authorities must present investment plans by the end of November to access the funds, which are essential in the context of current geopolitical challenges.
