The Zoo in Târgu Mureș has enriched its collection with new exotic species, according to an official statement. Among the animals that arrived from the Zoo in Szeged, Hungary, is a female puma (Puma concolor), which has already been integrated with the existing male, thus forming a new pair. Additionally, three Cuban Amazon parrots (Amazona leucocephala), an important tropical species for education and conservation, as well as four guanacos (Lama guanicoe), a wild camelid from South America, have been brought in. The new specimens have been placed in their specific habitats and will undergo a quarantine period before being displayed to the public. The Zoo in Târgu Mureș is the largest in Romania, having over 120 species and nearly 1,000 animals, and is dedicated to ecological education and the conservation of biodiversity.
