Following the devastating floods caused by Typhoon Maysak, over 100 animals have escaped from the zoo in Guigang, southern China, in recent days. These floods have resulted in the deaths of at least 39 people and the evacuation of 130,000 residents from the Guangxi region.

Among the escaped animals are zebras, ostriches, alpacas, and piglets, and the zoo has requested the public's help in finding them. Authorities have warned that some of these animals may be frightened and aggressive, advising people not to approach them.

Additionally, between 800 and 900 snakes have escaped from a farm in Hengzhou, another city affected by the floods, and local authorities have increased antivenom stocks in hospitals to deal with potential attacks. The floods have damaged infrastructure and created an emergency situation throughout the region.
